We work directly with your insurance provider to determine the extent of your coverage benefits during your initial consultation. There's no single "right" age for a child to get Invisalign or braces; it truly depends on their individual orthodontic needs and development. Generally, many children start seeing an orthodontist around ages 7-9, when their permanent teeth begin to emerge. The best way to determine if it's time for your child to get Invisalign or braces is to schedule an appointment with an orthodontist. They can assess your child's oral health and alignment, and discuss your concerns or goals for their smile.
Early assessment is key, as skipping or delaying orthodontic treatment isn’t just cosmetic; it can lead to oral health problems¹, functional issues (chewing, speech)², increased treatment cost³, and self-esteem/mental health impacts⁴.
